Egypt

As Year 5 were studying their 'Environment' topic, which included contrasting Egypt with Britain, they were delighted to hear that  Shirbin Governmental Distinguished Language School, in Egypt, would be helping them with their research while also learning  themselves!

The two schools focused on the following questions:

How does Egypt compare with Britain in terms of landscape, climate and conditions?

What is similar/different to Britain?

What environmental issues might there be in Egypt?

As well as learning about geographical similarities and differences, they also compared their own lives.

Despite having different cultures and languages, they shared a number of  common interests  such as football, fashion and computer games!

We also realised we had the football player Mohamed Salah in common - from Egypt, playing for England!
