Assistant Headteacher - Mr Hayhurst
I graduated from Manchester with a degree in Graphic Design. I have always felt like a creative person and I enjoyed illustrating books, photography and working with inspiring people. After graduating, I quickly realised that I wanted a career as a teacher. I love working with children, and I get to channel my creative cravings a lot! I joined Green End Primary School in 2006 and they have helped me grow and develop as a teacher ever since. There are always new challenges and things to learn – no two days are ever the same.
I have three children at home and I mainly spend my time driving them to their various clubs. When I am not doing that, I enjoy struggling to keep myself fit with visits to the gym, a dash of tennis, boxing and other bits. I also love books, films and a good television drama at the weekend.
I came to the school quite early in my career and I feel that it has been an exciting journey so far. The school and the trust are incredibly supportive and passionate about providing the best opportunities for the children staff and families involved. I am always looking forward to what we can achieve next!
